So those of you who are probably not following the E3 Sony Playstation 4 announcement......

Xbox One - $499 US Dollars

- Requires Internet Connection check once a day, or it stop working.
- Games have built in DRM.
- Cannot share, rent, or sell a used game UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION FROM THE PUBLISHERS. Currently renting and sharing will not be available period at launch.
-Requires Xbox Gold Membership to play online games, or use any internet services (Netflix, Facebook, etc)

Playstation 4 - $399 US Dollars

- Does not require an internet connection.
- No DRM.
- PSN+ Membership required, only to play online games. Other services not affected.

As for sharing your games with friends, I'll let the President of Sony Interactive explain...

Yeah, this is definitely Sony's opportunity to harken back to the glory days of the PS2. They really fumbled with the PS3, but Microsoft is practically handing them the domination of this generation on a platter. Seriously, the PS4 could be completely mediocre and Sony would still trounce Microsoft. You can tell that Sony's marketing folks are having a field day with this:

Our XBox 360 died about a month ago and I'm in no hurry to replace it. Microsoft can blow me.

Most of my playstation use is for watching movies/shows at the moment, but theres no way im putting an always on camera with kinect that can read my heartbeat in my living room. So PS4 it is! I really wish The Witcher series wasn't an Xbox exclusive, as I have no desire to purchase an Xbox One and I have been a PS3 user this entire generation.
