I maxed out Smithing at 100 today, so I had a chance to build a full set of Dragonplate armor. I'm not terribly impressed with the appearance, but the armor turns you into a total tank once you upgrade it. I also built several Daedric weapons, and I think the sword looks amazing.

The Old Republic was really neat. If you are interested in a great MMO it looks like you won't go wrong in that department.
Every quest is fully voiced and there was a feeling of importance in your characters choices. It was like a great single player game had sex with World of Warcraft and out popped Old Republic.
My only complain was that the Sith were FAR outnumbering the Republic forces on just about every server. I'm talking to the point where some battlegrounds would not load because of the lack of republic troops to go around.

I finally got around to crafting armor for my companion, shown here on the right. It's a full set of Dwarven armor, with enchanted necklaces and rings (bonus to archery) and an Ebony bow.

Dude, my companion actually got killed during the mage guild quests.
I didn't think it was even possible for her to die as she'd been following me around forever.

Yeah, the first time Lydia died, I stared at her corpse waiting for her to get back up. I figured she was just unconscious.
That probably explains what happened to my first companion. I went dungeon crawling with her, and noticed toward the end of the dungeon that she was no longer around. She must have died at some point and I never even noticed. +100 jerk points.
I also lost my horse yesterday in an epic mage battle. It was a scripted battle that occurred right outside of the college of magic, right where the horse gets parked when you fast travel in. He fought nobly, but was ultimately raped by a dozen will-o-wisps despite my efforts to save him. Oh well, they only cost a thousand gold, right?

lol I did the same thing, finally I figured she wasn't getting back up so I looted her and moved on.
I'm a spell caster so having a non-daedra companion is kinda frustrating for me anyways. I tend to hit them with Firebolts and shit all the time.

The PC mods for Skyrim have already begun to hit. I think I'm going to try out Detailed Faces and the Large Address Aware patch.

I finished the mage quest line tonight and got a bad ass Arch-Mage Robe and a sweet dragon mask thingy.
Went from looking dumb to looking terrifying. Love this game.

I'm somewhere about half-way through the mage quest series, and I'm loving it. The set pieces and locations are absolutely stunning.

The most ridiculously overvalued enchantment in the game is Banish. I'm working on maxing out my Enchantment skill, and with a petty soul gem and a skill of 74, I can increase the value of a Woodcutter's Axe from 5 to over 1600 with this enchantment. It's absolutely nuts.
