Just in case any of you don't own Portal yet, Steam is offering it for free if you download it before May 24th. Just jump on Steam and click on the "Portal" button on the right side of the screen.

Steam launched on the Mac platform earlier this week. I'm definitely not a fan of Mac, but I'm glad to see that Steam continues to expand.

Homefront sounds like an incredible plot, but the lack of gameplay leaves it strongly in the "maybe" category. X-Com looks like crap, and I'm sad to see the original IP so blatantly abused.

Enslaved looks absolutely amazing, and I am going to call it the most promising new property I've seen so far. We'll see what the rest of the show brings!

I mean is it Final Fantasy RP mixed with Command&Conquer plot objectives? FPS that makes it another rip off of Call of Duty? I liked Assassin Creed 2...but I'm not sure we need another one. X

A new XBox 360 model has been announced. It's a fair amount smaller than the existing system, consumes less power, and apparently is practically silent. It ships with a 250GB hard drive (still proprietary, dang it!), integrated 802.11n wireless, and a powered port for the Kinect (formerly Natal) device.

The system also comes with a new power brick that is supposedly much smaller than the existing one. That's a nice touch, but I'd really like to see an internal power supply. This isn't 1985.
