I bet you guys never expected to see that thread title! This is so completely crazy that it deserves its own thread.
http://www.hardocp.com/image.htmlimage=MTE5ODAyMTY3M3JJenJsWEo2N0FfMV8xX2wuanBn Quote:Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.
Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, there has been a screen shot taken from the teaser and posted in our forums. Check it out here.
Thank you for being fans of the game and for your continued patience.
We'd like to thank the people on the team that worked so hard to create this teaser and the friends of 3DR that helped create it (Jeremy Soule and Julian Soule, Frank Bry, Jason Evigan and of course, Jon St. John).
Well, that takes the cake. You can find the original thread on the 3D Realms forum
here, but there forum has been inundated with so much traffic that it's mostly offline.
It's kinda cool that Jeremy Soule is helping with the project. He's known for some of the greatest games in the history of PC gaming, like Neverwinter Nights, Supreme Commander, and Oblivion. I don't know what his role in Duke Nukem is, but he'll definitely boost the game's hype (again).
Hopefully, they'll post some actual in-game footage, not a bunch of meaningless computer-generated BS.
For what its worth, this will be the third Duke Nukem: Forever trailer, with the first one coming out in 1998 and the second in 2001. They are either on the fourth or fifth game engine. For what its worth, you can pre-order it on Best Buy, and they might even ship it to you when the game is released in 2053. Be sure to check out the customer review!
