There is now a "Halo 2 for Vista" version out.  Of course you cant play it on XP because MS is trying to boost Vista integration...

There is a program available that allows you to run Halo 2 on Windows XP, although I think the multiplayer functionality is still buggy.

Again, why the heck would you want to buy Halo?

Are the system requirements as insane as I think they might be?

Well, I guess that means I can at least run the game!  For the love of all that is holy, I need an upgrade!

ya i never thought id see  2+ Ghz as a minimum. 8gb free space sure is funny. That game Stranglehold needs 50  GB during install and 20GB free space for the game!

Btw, whens the lan?

@#%@#%!!!  50GB?!

For what it's worth, Baldur's Gate II required 5GB, and that came out when years ago.  8GB isn't all that bad by comparison.

50?!  Did you miss type that Briney?  For a normal person's computer that's maybe half a persons hard drive.  If you need 80ish in all that entire thing would need my external hard drive I use to dl stuff on!

    * CPU: Dual Core Processor
    * RAM: 2 GB RAM
    * Video: Nvidia 7800 or higher / ATI x1300 or higher
    * Disk space: 15 GB

Those are the minimum requirements!  I'll admit, the game is pretty, but that's a lot of RAM's and literally tons of the Gigs!

Yeah, I'll switch to Vista when Rosie O'Donnell stops being a whore...

...or next spring, when I'll have to start studying for the 2008 MCSE track.  Whichever comes first.

I was reading this article: Quote:

Did any of you know that Vista has DRM protection?  Wow...really?!  Is Microsoft trying to become the internet police?  That's scary.  I would rather have Bush and Chaney guard my newly won lotto money.  I would rather have Michael Jackson babysit my kids.  I would rather have Rosie O'Donnell watch my hot fudge sundae while I go to the bathroom!
