Hey guys,

I've got a really important prayer request tonight. My mother has been in hospitalized since Friday evening, and the situation looks pretty bleak. She fell into a coma Friday night while home alone, and hasn't responded since. Preliminary tests show the presence of meningitis, but a conclusive result hasn't yet been determined.

I've been researching the condition over the past couple of days, and it appears that it has a high rate of mortality amongst even healthy patients. My mother, unfortunately, is anything but healthy.

Please, pray for her health, and that of my stepfather who has been by her side nearly 24/7. I can't imagine life without her.

Just to heap on the depression, I've got another major prayer request for you guys. I just found out that my mother's brother and closest friend, Jim Delbridge, was killed last night in a motorcycle accident.

We had been trying to get in touch with him all last night to let him know about Mom, and found out at Midnight that he'd been in an accident.

My Uncle Jim was an incredible guy. He was the patriarch of the family and had an absolutely magnetic personality.

I'm very sorry to hear about that. Few things in life suck more than losing your job. I'll keep praying for you!

I most strenuously recommend http://www.USAJobs.gov. The site lists both security and law enforcement positions, as well as every other profession under the sun.

If I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to call. I can give you a few pointers on searching for .gov jobs if you're interested!
