Alas, my fellow geeks...
I must announce the death and/or theft of the Lan Van.

Our dear friend was parked here in Detroit, and someone felt that they must use it to carry their computers around in... so they took it. Someday, we may meet up again, but until then, we are without a dear friend. A friend who carried our computers, and ourselves to many a Taco Bell run.

RIP dear friend.

A fond memory is making a food run and Briney forgetting to turn his lights on.  When he gets past Rite Aid he throws them on, of course with Briney's luck there is a TR police officer sitting there.  He pulls out when traffic permits and throws his lights on.  Briney pulls into the TB parking lot just in time and we go through the drive through.  We take a while, it's Taco Bell of course, and when he gets out to head back home the cop is following the entire way.  We get on 131 going back to his house and for some odd reason Briney has a bag of nails in his car.  Andrew is pleading with Briney to let him dump the nails onto the trailing cop, like in the movies.  Andrew is pleading, Briney is screaming at him No and the rest of us are laughing and laughing.  All the while the cop is behind us and Briney is actually doing the speed limit for once.  We get out of range of the cop and make it safely back to the LAN party...the nails were still in the bag.

Also, Briney almost killed me in K-zoo going the wrong way on a one way...into on coming traffic.

Briney getting pulled over by Ruggles on our way to Brando's house.  Him calling up his daughter, who Briney has recently found out how much of a das slut she is and wouldn't go out with her.  Ruggle's gives him the ticket on the bidding of his daughter.

Going to Al's LAN party and Briney thinking it was better to go as fast as he could over rail road tracks, because then it would be "less bumby than going slower"....WRONG!!!

The tires and wheels were missing, and it looks like maybe the radiator was removed.  Were any other parts stolen?

I'm really surprised they didn't take the license plate.  Some friends of mine recently had their license plate swapped here in Three Rivers.  The plate that had been swapped onto theirs was also stolen, of course.

The axle is broken and anything valuable inside was taken. On the plus side, we found a red bandana, and it wasnt ours so... we just stole from our thieves! haha suckers!

On a further note.

Who the FUCK steals that Van?  Those are some pretty lame car thieves.

It sounds like they just stole it for parts and a joyride.  Axles don't break very easily.
