4/10 - Ben Folds
4/19 - Switchfoot
Tix for all shows go on sale Friday morning. Can you say STUDENT DISCOUNT?
Heck yeah...rock on!
(Anyone interested in coming up, down, or any other direction?)
(Keep posting fun shows here too.)

I
almost
went to see Avalon last week, but had some last minute changes in my plans. I heard it really rocked, too.
I'd like to see Rebecca St. James and Barlow Girl in April, but I've got a "busy schedule" ahead of me in the next couple months, so I'm not sure if I should buy tickets yet or not.
The only
definite
event I've got lined up is Peter Pan at the end of next month. I'm sure it'll be quite an interesting show.

Last semester I got to see Thousand Foot Krutch and Hawk Nelson in concernt. I was more into TFK than Hawk but it was still pretty sweet. I still can't get over when I see these people, these people aren't on TV, for the most part, and they're godly people. Just to see them and go, "oh my goodness that's what they look like!". It's pretty cool. The concert defn rocked....but I think nothing beats the Guano Apes/P.O.D. concern briney, myself, alex middleton, miah newhouse, and brandon robinson went to back in the day. The energy given off by the bands and the crowd was electrict. Also, any Weird Al concert is great, I've been the two of them and they were worth the money!

That POD concert was insane. When the lead singers sweat flys in your face as he swings his head around, you know your a bit to close. We were leaning on the bloody monitors for crying out loud.

I saw Run DMC and Moby in concert together (talk about a strange mix) in Chicago. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Run DMC, but he has an
amazing
stage presence. The guy was yelling at the top of his lungs while doing wind sprints for practically the entire performance, yet never once looked winded.
Craziness!

Well probably because I never watch MTV nor the second one. And the only dose of radio I get in from Christian Radio because everything else is either "My Hump" or Sean Paul you no one....no one...can understand. Not to mention secular music sucks now more than ever. Before, music was about love....now it's just degrading women and sex. I just get sick when I hear guys....and girls....degarding women like that. That's why I appluad anyone, especially in the black community, who speak out about this. And there have been a lot. I like Christian music, cause they have uplifting or fun messages. Not all of them are about God, but they don't make me feel icky inside after listening to them...unlike the milkshake song.

Next week, Peter Pan, live in Grand Rapids.
A few more weeks, Barlow Girl and Rebecca St. James in Detroit.

You wouldn't have known about that Detroit gig if it weren't for cool people like me that look after their friends' musical interests
