Somebody rigged the Christmas lights on their house to sync with Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizards in Winter."  They are by far the coolest lights I've ever seen.  If you want the unadulterated song, I've got that, too.

Best.

Concert.

EVAR!!!!!1111!!!one!!!eleventyone!!!~1(x, where y=2, and x=y/2)

I left the show both blind and deaf, but I don't think I stopped smiling until I got home.  It was absolutely crazy-good.  Amazing!

Those guys are so powerful it hurts.  Our seats were some of the best in the house.  We had floor seats in the 17th row, which was only the 5th row that was sold.  The first 12 were comp seats.  We were lucky to snag seats right on the aisle of the center row, so we were definitely "up close and personal."

The light show was the best I've ever seen.  These guys have spent millions on their lighting system and it shows.  They had twelve light bars in two rows that were suspended above the stage.  They were on motorized pulleys, so the position of the light bars themselves would change dramatically right in the middle of a song.  During one song, they started shooting snow from the rafters down onto the floor seats.  You haven't seen "cool" until you've sat in the middle of a packed stadium with snow falling down, tens of thousands of twinkling "stars" lit up behind the stage, and laser beams flying overhead.

This was also the longest concert I've ever been to.  It was about two and half hours long, with no intermission.  The first half came primarily from their first two albums, with the last half dominated by their new album.  They also sprinkled in a couple of pieces from Beethoven's Last Night in the last segment.

To my surprise, they introduced one of their final pieces as their rendition of Carl Orff's "O Fortuna" from their upcoming album.   As soon as I heard it, I screamed "!", which was followed by "?".  After a few speechless seconds I came out with "%^&*".   I had to come up with something plausible before I ran out of special characters.  I couldn't thing of anything, so I just sat awestruck.  If this song is any indication, their next album is going to be so good that it will cause brain cancer in lab rats.  That much luscious TSO goodness just can't be healthy.

I plan on buying new speakers for my car before that album comes out, just so I can rock that much harder.  Next year, you guys must see this concert.  It's not even an option.  Sell your car, sell your house, sell your firstborn if you must, but don't miss next year's concert!

Good tickets are expensive (I paid ~$120 for two), so start saving now.  $1.25 a week should be sufficient.  We can buy our tickets together and rock the night away next year!
