Meredith and I went to the crappy Three Rivers 6 (or whatever its called these days) last weekend to see Hitman. It was my first time going to the Three Rivers theater in years, and it isn't much better than it was before.

Anyway, they had a poster up for In the Name of the King. As soon as I saw the "Based on Dungeon Siege" tag line, I knew it had to be a Uwe Boll movie. Only he would be stupid enough to make a movie based on a video game that had virtually no plot. Sure enough, it was directed by the master of disaster himself, Mr. Uwe Boll.

I have no clue why game studios still license their games to Uwe Boll. He has to be the worst director/producer in history, bar none! I don't think I've ever seen a bigger flaming pile of crap than Bloodrayne, and House of the Dead wasn't far behind.

For what its worth, Mr. Boll is also working on a Far Cry movie. For some crazy reason, he also just finished up Bloodrayne II, which probably makes about as much sense as Dungeons and Dragons II. If the original sucks, what makes anyone think a sequel will be any better? Alone in the Dark II is also in production, and I'm sure that'll be a real hoot.

If nothing else, Uwe Boll's movies are always good for a laugh (at their expense). I'll happily buy the Dungeon Siege flick when it's in the $5.00 value bin at Walmart.
