Title: Engaged! Post by Briney on Aug 23rd, 2008 at 9:54am
On August 16th while on vacation I asked Susie to marry me.
Wee! We were on a moonlit walk with her family and on a small bridge over a river connecting two lakes on either side. epic. then when she got back to her tent, there was a picture book i had made for her sitting on her pillow. It was a lot of fun and a bit surreal. Her family took some pictures during, so I am sure ill post those up soon. |

Congrats briney!
Way to go man. I totally second that suicide note thing, that way she can off ya at any time... Hmm, I might have gotten that backwards. |

In other news....anyone else feel really old these days? :) |

Almost 1/4 of a century old here...and I've found myself saying "back in my day" and complaining about "kids today". So ya, feeling old from time to time.
A funny thing I noticed today is that instead of wondering if a chick you like has a boyfriend you now have to check her ring finger to see if she's married. It helps a lot more but it's still odd that now I have another group of women who I have no chance with. X |

You know, I was seriously considering starting a thread about "feeling old," but I figured I was the only one.
When I was filling out my insurance paperwork last week, I had to figure out how much life insurance I needed and whether or not I wanted "long term disability" insurance. Life insurance? WTF? You mean my wife can't sell my video game collection to cover the mortgage? I've had life insurance before through previous employers, but I've never had to seriously consider adding "optional" life insurance before. Luckily, it is fairly cheap at our age. So yeah, I'm feeling kinda old these days, but I'm fortunate to have a beautiful wife who shares some of my childhood passions. I can buy a new video game on a whim instead of saving my pennies for two months, and Mere and I can take a trip to Disney World every year if we want. Growing old has its advantages, I suppose. -b0b (...meh.) |

Damn patsy you do that too?
It was a pretty harsh reality when I discovered most women my age are either married or engaged.... Its ok though, I just hit on the 19 year olds ;) |
