For some crazy reason, Comcast will be changing my public static IP address this afternoon.  They were kind enough to give me a whopping 24 hours of notice.

This change will take place at 4:00pm today!  When this occurs, I'll have to change the DNS information to point the four domain names at the new IP address.  That will cause about 15 minutes of downtime.

Your computer may keep the old IP address cached for a couple of days.  If you can't get on the forum, do this:

• Click Start.
  
• Click Run.
  
• Type Cmd and hit enter.
  
• Type IPConfig /FlushDNS and hit enter.
  
• Type IPConfig /RegisterDNS and hit enter.

Your PC will flush the list of Domain>IP connections it has made, allowing your computer to grab the new IP.  The new IP address will be 75.147.229.29.

I'm going to try to get Comcast to set up a TCP Announce on the old IP for a couple of days, but no guarantees.

23 minutes of downtime!!!  UNACCEPTABLE!

Stupid Comcast...what next?  Are they going to throttle P2P connections, pay people to take up seats in front of the FCC, and be involved in a class action suit brought upon the consumers for false advertising?!

Hopefully everybody can connect again.  They gave me the wrong IP address.  The real IP ended up being 75.147.229.30.
