Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Briney on May 9th, 2006 at 9:22pm
Blockbusters:
X-men 3 Superman Returns Pirates o de Caribbean Cars Others that I'd see for the heck of it: The Omen <-- Comes out on 06/06/06, and thats cool. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift <-- So I can see Dan Booko. World Trade Center <-- Oliver Stone's version of 9/11 Snakes on a Plane <-- The title speaks for itself! ~BRiney |

Snakes on a Plane is going to be awesome, so I might have to see that one. I can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to see the Pirates of the Caribbean sequel on opening night because I've got a very pirate-oriented friend that is dying to see it.
-b0b (...thinks that is probably the only two he'll consider seeing.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by X on May 9th, 2006 at 11:02pm
You never told me, bob, that you wanted to see that movie with me!?

the DaVinci Code RV X3: the final stand Pirates of the Caribbean 2 ....what the heck is Snakes on a Plane and why is it so darn funny? Cait (....snakes on a plane?) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Briney on May 10th, 2006 at 12:03am
Snakes on the Mother F*ckin Plane!
Its got sam jackson and its the greatest film title of all time. They reshot parts of it to include lines and scenes that the fans wanted to see. |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by texfrost on May 10th, 2006 at 11:27pm
I tend to be out of the loop on movies since I don't watch much tv, or go to the movies that often to see the previews for the new ones coming out.
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by The_Fat_Man on May 10th, 2006 at 11:29pm
Snakes on the Plane DOES look bad ass.
But I want to see The Da Vinci Code. Simply because it's such a great piece of fictional writing. Too bad people in this day and age can't distinguish between fact and fiction. |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 10th, 2006 at 11:42pm
my dad and I were discussing this the other day. (the davinci code thing).
he says, "whenever a church member asks me my views on the DaVinci Code, I have to remind them what a great piece of FICTION it is." I'm looking foward to reading the novel first, because I like conspiracy theory fiction. Cait (...hates to admit that she actually likes National Treasure) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by The_Fat_Man on May 10th, 2006 at 11:46pm
Me and Pat had a nice conversation on IM about the Da Vinci Code and all the secret little rebel things Da Vinci did in his paintings.
Plus the book is full of fun facts, like where Friday the 13th came from and such. Things you didn't realize we still practice that were started hundreds of years ago. Pretty neat book. PS: Yes me and Pat had hot cyb0rz afterwards. Woot! |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 10th, 2006 at 11:59pm
Ahh, so that's why Pat was late in calling me tonight.
-b0b (...knew something was up.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 11th, 2006 at 12:01am

Cait (...is sarcastic) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Briney on May 11th, 2006 at 12:09am
Wow thats totally hot. Anyone have a transcript of that?
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 11th, 2006 at 12:12am

Cait (...what?) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 11th, 2006 at 12:12am
Whatever. You're just jealous because Pat is hotter than you.
-b0b (...goes to scrub his brain with steel wool.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by texfrost on May 11th, 2006 at 12:17am
B0b, I'd just shoot it for you, but with all those lights on that AR, I don't know if I could figure out where the trigger is so I'll have to settle with blinding you....
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by X on May 11th, 2006 at 12:18am
It's basically Wes taking me to KFC and all the noises that proceed from there.
X (I hate coslaw) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 11th, 2006 at 12:24am
Wrong thread, Tex. Good job.
-b0b (...thinks you just ruined "the moment.") |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by texfrost on May 11th, 2006 at 12:26am
No, thats where I wanted it. You were talking about scrubbing your brain with steel wool, so I said I'd shoot it for you if I could find the trigger...
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 11th, 2006 at 12:27am
That point was about as clear as charcoal.
-b0b (...doesn't believe the point was properly conveyed.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by texfrost on May 11th, 2006 at 12:30am
Nope, probably not.

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Stick on May 11th, 2006 at 8:53pm
That MI3 was pretty sweet. Only one thing disappointed me.... the mission wasn't impossible enough. Anyone else see it?
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by The_Fat_Man on May 11th, 2006 at 9:12pm
I did.
Half way through I stopped watching and started talking to the people with me. The movie was fucking retarded. |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 12:33am
Dude, it's got Tom "Eater of Placenta" Cruise in it, what were you expecting?

i hate when people say "ooooookayyyyyy" like that.
there are no comebacks. Cait (....damnit all.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by X on May 12th, 2006 at 1:25am
Sure there are...you just didn't use your imagination.
Some examples might included: "Oh that stutter must run in the family...you're mom usually does that while humming." "So you're saying 'okay' to you being gay? Wow I never knew." "As you can see he didn't deny it" "Is that the echo that comes out of your boyfriend's behind?" There are others but that just gives you some ideas. X |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 1:23pm
Those were all pretty weak, Stewie.

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 2:09pm
Well, if you insist, here goes nothing...
Quote:
Your response? Bad. Horribly bad. Liver and onions bad. Emo bad. Briney with a flashlight bad. Honestly, the only thing insulting about that retort was the horrible spelling. Emphasis on the "o," not on the "kay." I'd recommend a crash course in Remedial Insulting 101 because you've been intellectually outclassed by dead sheep, and reading that response makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to. In the future, wake up the dozy peglegged hamster operating that wheel-powered brain of yours before you start typing. Do it for the children, ooooooookay? Would anyone care to eat their words now? Table for two, by the window? -b0b (...takes a bow.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 12th, 2006 at 2:53pm
yeah. still dont have any comebacks for "oooookkayyy".
then again, its hard to insult the mentally challenged. Cait (...wired off of mtn. dew) |

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 3:58pm
Just meh.

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 12th, 2006 at 4:03pm

-b0b (...so meh.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 12th, 2006 at 4:11pm

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Briney on May 12th, 2006 at 4:31pm
Meh. weve been using it since the dawn of geekdom
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 4:36pm
Yeah. Dawn of Geekdom was 1924, if memory serves correctly.
-b0b (...meh.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 12th, 2006 at 4:41pm
why 1924?
|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 4:48pm
It's always 1924. DO NOT QUESTION THE 1924!
-b0b (...!) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Cait on May 12th, 2006 at 4:52pm

|
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by b0b on May 12th, 2006 at 5:00pm
I'm not sure how 1924 came about. It just... did. It was a high school thing.
-b0b (...shrugs.) |
Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by Briney on May 12th, 2006 at 5:14pm
Wow, she totally questioned the 1924. Begone!

Title: Re: Summer Movies. Post by The_Fat_Man on May 12th, 2006 at 6:53pm
