any of you willingly clicked on an internet advertisement and what was it?

I cant remember ever clicking one because I wanted to.

With AdBlock set to block the top five or six advertising companies, I don't even see 90% of ads. It's extraordinarily rare that I ever click on an ad, but I've done it before. The only one that I specifically remember is a Tyan ad four a quad-Xeon server motherboard. I just wanted to see what they offered, even though there was no way I could ever afford such a box.

I click on the banners on Penny Arcade quiete often, there usually pretty cool.

And they don't spam you with em.

I click on the little flash games sometimes... like Shoot the Outlaw or Squish the Cockroach. But, unless its a really good one, I'll just stop shooting before it pops up the ad thing.

For the normal ads, I just try to block as many as possible, especially the e-harmony type ones.

Ya know what I hate about those though...if you guess the wrong answer, don't shoot the duck, or whatever...you still win! That's no fun.

Btw, does anyone know a way to disable flash or something so that it won't show those kind of ads any more?

Firefox has this nice little extension that disables flash, I believe it's called NoScript...it's somewhat touchy to use but with enough "do not block these sites" enabled you get the most of it.

this ad blocking program rocks, especially if you are using a 56k. The speed of your net goes up 25% from blocking all the huge ads.

I'm coming home for the remainder of the semester this weekend. Anyone want to hang out?

(Long story...basically...meds not working...changing majors anyway and current classes no longer apply...gotta see doctors and stuff over the next couple of months...possibly studying abroad in mexico this summer...going back to school in the fall and hopefully graduating next may)
