Title: A Great Way to Spend a Weekend Post by b0b on Jan 10th, 2006 at 4:17pm
Sunday afternoon, I had the opportunity to spend some time with some good friends at an informal shooting range. One of them had been scorned by an unrequited lover and wanted to seek vengeance by destroying a teddy bear he'd purchased for her.
So, without further adieu, here are some pictures of blowing-stuff-upness. The other toys. My Springfield XD40 on the bottom left, with Jarrod's Sig P226 on top of it. Jarrod's S&W (Ew!) .38 Snub nose is above those, and my Walther P38 is on the right side of the box. We had a great time, and we'll definitely need to do this again some time! -b0b (...heck yeah!) |

Talk about the epitome of bitterness...
Sounds like fun though! I'll keep it in mind for my first horrible breakup. |

That's funny. Who was that person?

I've been thinking about trying to make a mad rush to pay off my car this year (only $4,250 left. Yay!), and possibly buying a bit of cheap property out in the middle of nowhere next year to set up an impromptu range. Besides, it's an investment which will only keep increasing in value.
It's just too difficult to find a place to shoot rifles around here. There are only two places I can go, both of which are on property owned by friends, and I really don't like shooting out there if I'm not expressly invited. Considering my investment in my firearms, having a "steady" place to shoot seems sensible. -b0b (...dreams!) |

What. Are you saying it was me?
Yes I admit it was me. But I don't think I'll post 'online' my feeling on the subject |

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how much fun we had blowing stuff up. [smiley=Guns-Sniper4.gif]

Really...isn't that the only test we use everyday we live?

there is a valley behind my house where I occassionally shoot. You are welcome, if you post something here and I'm not busy, we can plan a get together some weekend. My neighbor shoots about once every two to three weeks so it won't bother anyone to hear the gun shots.

Heck yeah! You should have a Geek Crew shooting party! I've still got about 350 rounds of 7.62x39mm for my SKS that I'm dying to fire! Besides, how often do you get to shoot a rifle with an integral bayonet?
I'm going to order a few more magazines for my Walther P38, but that's always an option, too. -b0b (...WOOHOO!) |
