Title: Internet2 P2P Hub Shutdown
Post by b0b on Nov 15th, 2005 at 2:37pm
Freakin' crazy.  RIAA and MPAA joined Internet2 a few months back, and - as expected - have started flinging around lawsuits.  I2's biggest peer-to-peer hub was shut down.

Here's the crazy part.  Check out the statistics for I2Hub.

Quote:
I2 Hub:

Years online : 1.7
Petabytes Transferred : 47.9 (estimate)
Movies Transferred : 1.94 Million
MP3's Transnferred : 402 Million
**AA Threat Letter : 11-14-2005 (shutdown)

There are 1.94mil movies in the world!?  I doubt it.  They must mean movie tranfers not movies transferred.
