EMC ALUA Verification

If you need to verify the status of ALUA on an EMC storage appliance, try the powermt command:

powermt display dev=all

If you see a see an output of failover mode 4, ALUA is enabled and functioning properly.  If you see an output of failover mode 1, ALUA is disabled and not functioning.

Failover Mode 4 - ALUA Enabled

Failover Mode 1 - ALUA Disabled
